HOMEMADE LEMONADE

One of our favorite summer drinks is homemade lemonade made with lemon balm from our family herb garden. Lemon balm is a perennial, so once you plant it you can reap the harvest year after year and share it with others! If you are not able to grow or purchase lemon balm at your local health food store, then this recipe can also be made without the herb.Pitcher of Lemonade on the Table Seasons of the Heart and Home

Fill a pitcher with 6 cups of water, and a handful of fresh lemon balm leaves. Allow the water and the lemon balm leaves sit for 30 minutes so the flavor of the lemon can infuse into the water.  Then add 3 cups of stevia.  Now add 3 cups of lemon juice.  Then take 4 lemons, rinse them off, cut them up into quarters, squeeze the lemon juice into the pitcher and then drop the lemons in. Enjoy your refreshing, healthy, delicious cup of lemonade!

    Hello Kathleen,
The Lord’s Peace be with you! This is a friend from my past…I hope you remember me- Jon St. Andre, Class of 1996 at FUS (we were together in Austria). I have been thinking of you recently and wanted to be in touch if you are open to it. I am now a Franciscan Priest (most folks call me Fr. Jonathan) and I currently live in Herndon, VA. I would love to be in touch. God bless you.
